This week I chose the print to express all my discomfort and rage. When we are facing communist destroyers, to react with beauty is not enough. I felt the need to express myself clearly.

I’m pissed. I’m pissed at the ignorance in the world. I’m pissed at the people destroying symbols of freedom. I’m pissed at people destroying monuments and culture. I’m pissed at the silent people giving power to the destroying force of ignorance. I’m pissed at the people accepting with cowardice ignoble requests made with violence.

We accepted without reacting properly when the Taliban destroyed the Bamiyan Buddhas. I was pissed then, and I’m pissed now that the same mentality is doing the same thing here.

I’m pissed at people pretending I have an original sin just because they say so.

Let me be clear: I do not accept the concept of an original sin and I do not support any group that uses violence and destroys the beauty in the world.

In front of this there is only a phrase coming to my mind: “Who is John Galt?”

A couple of days ago I was reading the news here in Italy and I read a title that made me think: “The USA cancel the 4th of July”.

The fight against Covid is not just a medical fight but a political one. To make mistakes in communication at this moment is perhaps more dangerous in the long term than making medical mistakes.

The desire for summer, in the sixth week of Italian Covid jail, made me chose another image of the sea. This time there is something more, there is a bridge that made me think about the difference of thinking between American and Italians to overcome tragedies.

In the video I speak about some beautiful project that were presented by Cimolai, to rebuild the Morandi bridge, collapsed in Genova the 14th of August 2018. Sadly thos projects were not accepted and instead the very ugly project by Renzo Piano was realized.

Another week and another print from the Italian COVID-19 insulation.

President Trump made a great tweet to express his sympathy to Italians during this difficult situation.

Here is my personal answer.

A little edit of my post after few days. Sadly in this world, specially in Italy, if I simply state that this is “my personal answer” to a tweet by President Trump, people wrongly assume it will be a polemic or negative answer before they even watch the video.

So here the message to be clear: I love the USA and I really appreciated President Trump tweet!!!

A little tale and some considerations about Corona Virus in Italy.

Many friends from the USA asked me about how I’m dealing with the COVID-19 and how is the situation in Italy, so I chose a print that expressed how I’m used to deal with situations limiting my freedom of movement.

I was reading a book few weeks ago, the main character was describing his grandfather and he wrote that his grandpa was used to say he had to get naked to count up to 21.
So I arrived at print number 6 and decided to start to use the sign language to enumerate my prints before I was out of fingers! YouTube and FaceBook policies could be pretty restrictive about people counting up to 21.
